CLASSES & SCHEDULE

COMBO CLASS (ages 3 & 4)
Our popular pre-school dance class consists of song and dance routines which introduce children to tap and ballet. Because children of this age love and need repetition, the same class is repeated a few times before being changed.

BALLET (age 5 & up)
Ballet training is the foundation of dance. It teaches proper placement, alignment, balance, technique, and control. Ballet is the core to all forms of dance. We focus on terminology, body positioning, center work, and barre work.

POINTE
For the experienced ballet student, pointe is the advancement of ballet class to hard-boxed pointe shoes. The age of the dancer recommended to begin pointe work depends on the level of her technique and the rate of her progress. This class must be upon teacher recommendation and accompany a regular ballet class.

TAP (age 5 & up)
Tap is an exciting and challenging dance form that creates sound, rhythm, and syncopation with your feet. Our students learn different styles of tap dance, while concentrating on clear, concise footwork.

ACROBATICS (age 5 & up)
Our acrobatic classes offer your child an introduction to tumbling that will provide the building blocks necessary for development in dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, and overall fitness. Your child will be better equipped to safely enjoy and excel in his or her future athletic endeavors.

JAZZ (age 7 & up)
Our jazz class features energetic jazz movements combined with the latest dance trends. We focus on jazz terminology, flexibility, leaps, and turns, using a variety of jazz, pop, and rock music.

HIPHOP (age 7 & up)
This class uses contemporary, up-tempo hip hop music. Movements are fast, bouncy, and funky. Dancers will learn to exercise body control, movement, flexibility, and rhythm.

LYRICAL (age 8 & up)
Lyrical is the balance, control, and technique of ballet combined with the principles of jazz, which creates free-style movement interpreting a story and/or lyrics.
